Management Tips

Running Meetings Effectively:

  • Meetings are the club board's main source of communication to their members. By effectively running meetings, you ensure a productive club and happy members.
  • Members need to be attentive during meetings; they should be excited and energized to hear the updates and new information that is being presented.
  • How to do this:
    • Distribute to your members a full meeting agenda to make sure no time is wasted!
    • Open the meetings with a series of ice breakers and energizers. Check out this awesome presentation with various ideas, courtesy of CNH District.

Keeping Track of Your Members:

  • Members are the life force behind your club. This is why keeping track of their other obligations outside of Key Club is "key" to having a successful chapter.
  • How to do this:
    • Create Member Files.
    • Schedule meetings at convenient times to increase attendance.
    • Make a calendar with all other clubs and activities in your school to be aware of conflicting meetings.

Finding Prudent, High Profit Fundraising Opportunities:

  • Fundraising is needed for all club, regardless of the generosity from the sponsoring Kiwanis club.
  • Many companies cater to school fundraisers, so expand your search beyond local options.
    • Check out these fundraising opportunities!
