Governor's Project 2024/25

Here is a message from our District Governor, Jason Bunag: What is up, Key Clubbers! I am writing to you today hoping you will consider contributing to my Governor’s Project for Special Olympics called “Key Club Unified.” One of Key Club's core values is inclusiveness, and I think Special Olympics embodies that core value perfectly. I was just attracted to Special Olympics because its mission of providing sports opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities is amazing. I also am very passionate about soccer, and I can’t picture my life without the sport. I have been playing since I was 3 years old and watch games forever! So, sports, specifically soccer, have played a huge part in my life.

In general, there are 3 incentive levels you and your club strive for. The 1st level is the Bronze level, so if your club raises $75 and/or accumulates 20 service hours from volunteering at Special Olympics events, your club will get shouted out on Governor & Indiana District Key Club Instagram pages and get a special award at DLC! The 2nd level is the Silver level, so if your club raises $150 and/or accumulates 40 service hours from volunteering at Special Olympics events, then your club will get the same rewards as the Bronze level, plus having your club’s logo displayed in your DLC convention program!! Then the 3rd and final level is the Gold level, so if your club raises $300 and/or accumulates 60 hours of service from volunteering at Special Olympics events, then your club will get the same rewards as the bronze and silver levels plus your name mentioned on inkeyonline.org, which is our District website!

So if you want to support a great organization and/or want to see Governor Jason jump in freezing cold water in February, please help contribute to the goal of raising $1,500 by clicking THIS link to go to my (blank) Division donation page! Any amount that you can contribute is much appreciated!! In addition to fundraising, we will also be tracking service hours that your club members may accumulate when working at a Special Olympics event. Please be sure that you fill out THIS Special Olympics service hour form if you or any of your club members volunteer at a Special Olympics event! HERE is also a link to Jason’s Governor’s Project Linktree with more links for you to explore if you would like!! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me @[email protected] if you have any questions!
