Governor's Project 2025/26

Here is a message from Governor Sweet:
Greetings, everyone! I’m reaching out today to share more details about my Governor Project,
“Paths to Belonging,”
which supports Exodus Refugee, in hopes that you will consider contributing to our district goal of raising $1,500 and completing 500 service hours. Your support will help Exodus Refugee in providing refugees and immigrants with access to necessities, including household items, legal assistance, and a supportive community. In an unstable state of not knowing whether certain families will receive support or not, ideas of service will also greatly benefit the refugee and immigrant community. Please refer to the presentation linked HERE  that contains an overview of my Governor Project as well as the specific instructions on how to financially donate through online or mailing checks, how to upload service hours, as well as service ideas that you can participate in to align with this project!! Additionally, I have also created an Exodus Refugee Toolkit in Google Drive, where you can find the same presentation provided above, as well as promotional posts and email/text templates that you can use to send to your Kiwanis Clubs and your friends and families!
As a reminder, there will be three incentive levels to recognize your club’s efforts and support, which will all be recognized at our annual District Leadership Convention (DLC)!
The 3rd tier

Welcomers refers to clubs that have raised at least $80 and/or have accumulated at least 25 service hours. Your club will be given a shoutout on the district Instagram page as well as receive an award at DLC!
The 2nd tier

Community Makers refers to clubs that have raised at least $150 and/or have accumulated at least 50 service hours. These clubs will receive the same rewards as the Welcomers, with the addition of a Key Club banner patch!
The 1st tier

Homebuilders, refers to clubs that have raised at least $300 and/or have accumulated at least 75 service hours. These clubs will obtain the same rewards as the previous two, with the addition of a plaque for their club!

This project runs through NOW to February 1st at 11:59 pm your local time! So, Indiana District, let's all work together within the next couple of months to strive to connect compassion and create Paths to Belonging towards an inclusive and caring community! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me through [email protected] with any questions, comments, or concerns!
