Delivering Hope & Health
Delivering Hope and Health is the brand new campaign that Indiana District Kiwanis has pledged $1,000,000 to! This campaign will go towards raising money for Riley’s Children’s Hospital. One statistic as to why our K-fam has taken on this pledge - 600 babies in Indiana die before their first birthday each year. The goal of this campaign with be to lower that number and give every Hoosier a chance for a healthy start to life. The Delivering Hope and Health program will work to improve infant survival rates, have a more immediate diagnosis and care for moms carrying high risk pregnancies, and also have an earlier diagnosis of fetuses with congenital disorders. This program will also ensure that every mother and baby in Indiana has access to the best possible prenatal and postnatal care. How will they do this you may ask? Well with the money that our K-family has pledged Riley’s is recruiting up to 12 maternal-fetal medicine specialist to work in hubs across our state to make sure that every family has access to these doctors. With that being said, the Indiana District Key Club has pledged $30,000 to that $1 million pledge. These children and mothers need our help in-order to lower our infant mortality rate. This might sound cliche but this campaign really is to “save the babies”!

3 Wishes Campaign
The 2015-2016 Indiana District Board pledged $10,000 to the 3 Wishes Campaign. At the 2018 DLC we exceeded the $10,000 goal. At the August board meeting the 2018-2019 board voted to raise the goal to $20,000. We are happy to say we have raised $20,065 as of the 2019 DLC. The 3 Wishes Campaign is affiliated with Riley Children’s Hospital. This campaign will work to ensure young children throughout the entire state of Indiana receive effective care for neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders, including autism and developmental delay. In order to diagnose children early, Riley Hospital has worked to create 14 Early Evaluation Hubs located all across the state. These hubs will reach all children so that they can be diagnosed with autism at the proper age and help create a better quality of life. Specifically, the money that we raise will provide training and tools for the hubs, training for physicians that will work at the hubs, and data collection and analysis to ensure and sustain top quality programming. Because of our donation and Indiana Kiwanis donations to the 3 Wishes Campaign the diagnosis age for autism in Indiana has gone down from 63 months down to the national average.
